Ploughing & Routine Maintenance Agreements 22€ → 25€ per hour
A regularly maintained field requires less work per visit than one which has been neglected. At Localmotion we reflect this fact by offering discounts to customers who commit to having their land regularly ploughed by signing up to a Routine Maintenance Agreement.
The hourly rate charged varies depending upon the number of visits within a 12 month period. For example, the standard hourly rate for ploughing is just 25€ per hour, including experienced operator, implements and fuel. Yet this great price can be further reduced to 24€ on our 2nd visit, or just 22€ per hour if we visit you 4 times or more within a year.
This not only ensures you always receive great value for money, but also means you can rest assured that your field will perform well and always look its best! As a rule of thumb a clear, well maintained 5,000m2 plot will take approximately 1-1½ hours to cultivate. A neglected plot will require extra work and is likely to take much longer.
*Timing of visits may vary depending upon ground and weather conditions as well as weed growth. For example, during the wet winter of 2009-10, many fields were inaccessible for several months. This meant that some customers received less visits than anticipated, however extra visits were required during the spring of 2010 to cope with extra weed growth. In such circumstances the customers normal hourly rate is charged.
Excavator Hire from 175€ per day
Our 3.5 tonne Case excavator is available for hire with an experienced operator and a variety of digging and grading buckets at the set rate of just 100€ per half day (upto 4 hours) or 175€ per full day (upto 8 hours).
Our excavator mounted rock breaker is also available at an additional charge of 10€ per hour used.
Tipper Hire 20€ per hour
Our 7.5 tonne tipper lorry is normally available for hire at the set rate of 20€ per hour including fuel & driver although discounts may apply if the tipper is used in conjunction with other machinery.
For deliveries of Sand, Gravel and Top Soil, or for transport of items within the local area we use a fixed pricing system depending upon the collection & drop-off locations - listed in the orange box at the top of this page. For locations further away we are happy to provide a quotation upon request.
Travelling Time
From our base near to La Romana, we cover a wide area and are willing to travel almost any distance. Travelling time is FREE if you live within the red dotted circle on the map (right).
For longer journeys travelling time is charged at 20€ per hour, from the time of leaving our base in La Romana, until the estimated time of return
Discounts are available for "group" bookings within 20 minutes of each other, and for large jobs requiring more than one days work.

Down Time
Down time will not be charged, unless caused directly by the customers neglect. The customer is solely responsible for any damaged caused to (or by) underground infrastructure such as cables or pipes. Any hazards must be identified by the customer, to the driver on the day.
In some situations we may charge for replacement of plough points if the area to be ploughed contains a lot of marble or tree stumps. We will always notify you before hand if this is the case.
